What are dead pixels?

A dead pixel is a pixel on your screen that stays permanently off (black) regardless of what the display is showing. They are most visible against bright or white backgrounds.

What are stuck pixels?

A stuck pixel is a pixel that stays permanently lit in one color (usually red, green, or blue). They are most visible against dark or contrasting backgrounds. Unlike dead pixels, stuck pixels can sometimes be fixed by rapidly cycling colors.

How to check

Click through each color above and carefully scan the entire screen for any dots that do not match the background color. Look closely at each area of the display. Move your head around to view from slightly different angles.

How to Use

Look carefully across the entire display for dots that appear a different color.
Test all eight colors for thorough coverage.
