Frequently Asked Questions

What video formats can I convert to GIF? +
You can convert most common video formats including MP4, WebM, MOV, AVI, and MKV. As long as your browser can play the video, the converter can process it.
Why is my GIF file so large? +
GIFs are inherently large because they store every frame as a full image. To reduce file size, lower the FPS, use a smaller width, or shorten the clip duration. A 5-second clip at 320px wide and 10 FPS will be much smaller than 640px at 20 FPS.
How long of a video clip can I convert? +
There is no hard limit, but longer clips produce very large GIF files. For best results, keep clips under 15 seconds. GIFs over 10MB can be slow to load on websites.
What does the FPS setting do? +
FPS (frames per second) controls how many images per second the GIF contains. Lower FPS means fewer frames, which reduces file size but makes the animation less smooth. 10 FPS is good for most uses, 15 FPS for smoother motion.
Can I convert a specific part of the video? +
Yes. Use the start time and end time fields to select the exact portion of the video you want to convert. You can enter times in seconds (e.g. 5) or MM:SS format (e.g. 1:30).
