What happens to transparent areas when converting PNG to JPG? +
JPG does not support transparency. Any transparent areas in your PNG will be filled with a background color. By default this is white, but you can choose any color using the background color picker before converting.
How does the quality slider work? +
The quality slider controls JPG compression from 1 (smallest file, lowest quality) to 100 (largest file, best quality). A setting of 85-92 is usually the sweet spot - very close to the original quality but significantly smaller file size.
Why would I convert PNG to JPG? +
JPG files are typically much smaller than PNG, especially for photographs. Converting to JPG can save significant storage space and bandwidth. It's ideal for photos, web images, and any image where you don't need transparency.
