Are my PDF files uploaded to a server? +
No. All merging happens entirely in your browser using the pdf-lib JavaScript library. Your PDF files never leave your device, ensuring complete privacy and security.
Is there a limit on the number of PDFs I can merge? +
There is no fixed limit. You can merge as many PDFs as you want. However, very large combined documents (hundreds of megabytes) may be slow on older devices since processing happens in your browser.
Can I change the order of the PDF files before merging? +
Yes! You can drag and drop the files in the list to reorder them. You can also remove individual files before merging. The final PDF will follow the order shown in the list.
Will the merged PDF lose quality or formatting? +
No. This tool copies pages exactly as they are from each source PDF. All formatting, images, fonts, and interactive elements are preserved in the merged output.
What if one of my PDFs is password-protected? +
Password-protected PDFs cannot be merged with this tool. You would need to remove the password protection first. Unprotected PDFs work perfectly regardless of their content or complexity.
