Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Normalize option do? +
Normalize uses the EBU R128 loudness standard to bring your audio to a consistent -16 LUFS level. This is the standard used by most streaming platforms and ensures even volume across tracks.
How much can I boost the volume? +
You can adjust from -20dB (much quieter) to +20dB (much louder). Be careful with boosts above +10dB, as they may introduce clipping or distortion if the original audio is already loud.
What audio formats are supported? +
The tool accepts most audio formats including MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, OGG, and AAC. The output is always an MP3 file encoded at 192kbps.
Will boosting volume cause distortion? +
Large boosts on already-loud audio can cause clipping. If you hear distortion, try a smaller boost or use the Normalize option instead, which adjusts volume intelligently to avoid clipping.
