How does the date difference calculator work? +
Enter a start date and an end date, and the calculator will show the exact difference in years, months, and days. It also shows the total number of days between the two dates and includes weeks in the breakdown.
Can I add or subtract months and years from a date? +
Yes! Switch to the "Add/Subtract" tab, enter a starting date, and specify the number of years, months, and/or days to add or subtract. The calculator handles month-end overflow correctly (e.g., adding 1 month to January 31 gives February 28/29).
Does it account for leap years? +
Yes, the calculator fully accounts for leap years when calculating date differences and when adding/subtracting days. February 29 is handled correctly in all calculations.
What date formats are supported? +
The calculator uses your browser's native date picker, which displays dates in your local format. Internally, all dates are processed accurately regardless of your locale or timezone.
Can I calculate business days between two dates? +
The calculator shows total calendar days, weeks, and a breakdown into years/months/days. While it doesn't currently exclude holidays, you can see the total weekdays count alongside the full calendar day count.
